Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a time-tested and clinically effective East Asian tradition that opens up the free flow of energy in the body along meridian lines to promote blood circulation, hormone balance, and proper organ function. It also boosts the body’s immune system response, reduces inflammation, and speeds up healing time.

How can acupuncture help me?

East Asian medicine accounts for whole body systems, including organ function, energy levels, sleep quality, immunity, and hormone balance. By identifying an energetic pattern of disharmony, acupuncture seeks to promote relief of common symptoms, including:

  • Headaches and migraines, including TBI
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Circulation problems
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Menstrual symptoms and women’s health
  • Digestive problems
  • Immune support
  • Skin conditions
  • Tinnitus
  • Seasonal colds and allergies
  • Addiction recovery

Does acupuncture hurt?

No. Using a gentle needling technique and thin gauge needles, you may notice a sore, warm, or aching sensation when the needles are inserted, which signifies that healing energy is working in that area. If you know that you are sensitive to needles, we are happy to treat you without needles, using acupressure, craniosacral therapy, shiatsu, cupping, or shiatsu.

Is acupuncture clean and safe?

Yes. Our clinic uses single-use sterile needles and disinfection of the treatment table and surfaces between each patient. We use clean practices according to our Clean Needle Technique training to ensure your safety.

Treating addiction with ear acupuncture

The NADA protocol is a clinically proven acupuncture protocol that uses 5 sterile needles in specific ear acupuncture points on one ear to reduce alcohol, drug, and nicotine cravings, minimize withdrawal symptoms, relieve stress and emotional trauma, decrease agitation, and improve sleep. This acupuncture treatment takes 30-45 minutes.
